Hello there. I’m Holly Harris Wood, and I married for love, not a name that makes people take me seriously. Yes, I considered hyphenating.
Born in the midwest, raised in Colorado, schooled in Seattle, and transplanted to Hong Kong, these days I reply to questions I don’t understand by stringing together all the Cantonese I know (about eight words). It’s called putting the ball back in their court. Before I moved to Asia I worked in higher education and nonprofits, always weaseling ways to make my job about writing Facebook posts and planning work parties.
I like to tell stories about my family, my food, and my crises (of faith and/or relocation, usually).
